First Lady LaSaudra G. McCoy was born LaSaundra G. Shivers in Rock Island, IL, to Melvin Shivers and Emily Teague. She was raised in East Moline, IL, by maternal grandparents Otha and Dorothy Teague. They raised her in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord, where her grandfather served as a deacon at the Pentecostal Church of God in Davenport, IA, under the leadership of the late Alfred Boyd. She attended United Township High School in East Moline, IL, where she graduated as class president.  She, leaving Illinois, moved to Bloomington, IN, to attend Indiana University to major in Psychology and minor in Music, but later changed her major to Early Childhood Education.

Although being raised in the church, participating in many activities, she didn’t accept the Lord as her personal Savior until she attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. She was baptized in the Name of Jesus receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. A year later she was given in marriage to Bishop William L. McCoy, D.D., Th.D. Out of that Union was born Ambrilynn, Andre’an, and Aareone. When Bishop McCoy founded and started the Anointed Harvest Fellowship Church in 1995, it was Lady LaSaundra McCoy and the children there to support.

Lady LaSaudra is employed by Monroe County School Corporation where she is a preschool teacher. She is a playwright and poet. She also sings in the Anointed Harvest Choir. She works in the Women’s Ministry, and leads our Children’s Ministry.

First Lady LaSaundra feels her steps have been ordered by the Lord. She believes the Lord has blessed her with an Anointed man of God, three ‘called by God’ children, and a host of saints who are trying to be obedient in helping to fulfill God’s vision. This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvelous in our sight.
